At Beyond Dental Health, we have patients of all ages. Some patients have dental insurance coverage, and some do not. For patients without insurance, we have had the Beyond Dental Club for quite some time. However, for the first time, we have a program directed to Seniors specifically. Our Clubs are meant to be avenues for patients, outside of insurance to manage costs, get discounts and still access fantastic care.
With the rollout of our Senior Club, our goal is to raise awareness for folks 60+ about what their options are for care. As we age, maintaining good oral health becomes increasingly important for overall well-being. However, many seniors in Massachusetts face challenges when it comes to accessing dental care through Medicare. Our goal is not to compete with Medicare, but to provide information to Seniors so that they can find the coverage that is right for them.
In general, there are a few considerations when seeking coverage for seniors in Massachusetts:
- Medicare, a federal health insurance program, provides coverage for individuals aged 65 and older. While it offers comprehensive coverage for medical services, it does not typically include dental care, which leaves seniors searching for alternative options to meet their oral health needs.
- The Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) generally does not cover routine dental care, including preventive services like cleanings, fillings, or dentures. This coverage gap often puts seniors in a difficult position, as they must find ways to address their dental health without the financial support of Medicare.
- Some seniors seeking dental care enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C). These plans are offered by private insurance companies and often include additional benefits like dental coverage. Researching and comparing different Medicare Advantage plans can help seniors find options that align with their dental needs.
The Beyond Dental Health Senior Club is a monthly plan where patients over 60 subscribe and pay a regular fee for preventive care. The program includes their healthy visits, x-rays and exams. It also provides access to discounts for any restorative care and specialty care as well, including implants, periodontal work, endodontics (root canals), sleep and TMJ therapy and even orthodontics.
We are very proud of this plan, as it demonstrates our commitment to providing accessible and comprehensive dental care for seniors. Our goal is to fill any gaps in coverage and empower seniors to prioritize their oral health without financial constraints.
We invite seniors to take a look at our Club and know that we are here with you every step of the way. Keep smiling and call our office with any questions about the Beyond Dental Health Senior Club and how it can help you maintain a healthy and confident smile throughout every stage of life.
